Hi! My name is Skylar Vanderhaar and I am 23 living in New York City! I grew up in Wilmington, NC where I learned how much I love to dance and perform from the age of 4 until I graduated high school in 2018. I was a competition dancer at A Leap Above Creative Arts Center (2004-2014) and Impulse Dance Project (2014-2018) and this is how I become a versatile and well rounded dancer training in multiple different styles. I also participated in local musical theatre shows with Opera House Theatre and Thalian Association until 2020 and was on the dance team in high school. I started teaching dance in 2018 right out of high school at Evolution Dance Complex. Here I taught both the competitive team and recreational dancers ranging in ages from 2 to 18. I moved to New York City in 2021 and recently graduated from the Steps on Broadway Conservatory. I miss teaching dance so much and am very excited for this opportunity!
