I am a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, has worked as a professional cartoonist,
illustrator and graphic artist since 1985. I have published work in local, regional and national publications. My body of work also includes self published comics ,animation and 23 years of teaching visual arts at after school programs in almost every borough of New York city ,including 11 years at the Dalton School and 10 years at Serious Fun in Astoria.
For the last 23 summers I have taught cartooning and comic book creation at Hofstra University Summer Camps, a program I created back in 1999. In 2014 I began teaching middle school and high school level art classes for Hofstra’s Saturday Programs.
After taking additional classes to learn computer graphics programs in 1994, Iobtained work creating, graphics, technical drawings, and presentation boards for a POP Display company. In 2006 I designed and executed his first mural project for Hofstra University, and since then has completed a number of mural projects first with Bronx Arts Ensemble in 2008, and later while working for LeAp decorating school walls and having the students participate in the design and execution. My mural work also includes a few done on a volunteer basis for public schools in both Manhattan and Brooklyn.
In 2015 I expanded my experience by teaching a number of in school visual art programs, for LeAp and the Leadership Program to a diverse population of elementary, middle and high school school students. In 2017 I received a new works grant from the Queens Council on the Arts to do a short animated film, which was completed in the Spring of 2018.
