Musical Theater - You In the Song
- I flew on The Eagles (the band) private jet as a guest of Joe Walsh
- My ancestors have been in the United States since before our country was formed. I have ancestry dating back to the mid 1600's in New Orleans and Mississippi
- I grew up in San Diego County. I LOVE my San Diego Padres!
I was born and raised in San Diego County. I loved singing and performing since I was a young child. I used to act out every role of my favorite musicals in front of my mirrored closet doors - getting lost in the joy for hours. I performed in high school musicals and plays. In college I majored in theater. Although I was cast in a few shows, I was never cast in a musical. I left college and went on the road with The New Christy Minstrels for a year. I learned a lot about harmonizing and road life. Returning to So CA I started working with a small theater in Burbank. Our shows were so popular that Disney, Old Hollywood and many happy LA critics saw our productions. I went on to do many more shows around So CA which led to me being cast in the American Premiere Company of 'Sunset Blvd' starring Glenn Close. After our show closed in LA I moved to NYC and made my Broadway debut in 'Sunset'. I went on to do 3 more shows on Broadway - 'Les Miserables', SideShow' and 'The Scarlet Pimpernel'. I played the eponymous role in 'The Drowsy Chaperone' in the Broadway National Tour and have performed in numerous productions throughout the country.
I have been teaching for 9 years - working with kids aged 6 to 18. I thoroughly enjoy teaching young people. Their joy in class always inspires me. I teach an inclusive class - all levels are welcome
