- I lived in the Dominican Republic for 7 years
- My favorite food is pizza
- My wife also works in education as a teacher
With over 15 years of dedicated experience in education, I have had the privilege of working in various roles that have shaped my approach to teaching. My journey began in the classroom, where I taught middle school students and fostered their love for learning. I later transitioned into leadership positions, serving as a principal and director of student life, where I focused on creating inclusive and engaging environments for both students and staff.
Currently, I serve as an instructional coach for 12 schools across the city, where I collaborate with educators to enhance instructional practices and improve student outcomes. My passion for education extends beyond the classroom; I have founded chess clubs at two different schools, aiming to share the joys and strategic benefits of this timeless game with kids. I believe that through chess, students develop critical thinking skills, patience, and resilience—qualities that serve them well beyond the chessboard.
I am committed to empowering students and educators alike, and I am excited to continue making a positive impact in the educational community.
